Permanent Makeup Preparations

  • Do not arrive with irritated/injured (sunburn, cold sore, eczema or psoriasis, etc) skin or illness (cold, flu, unwell in general).
  • No tanning 4 weeks prior to appointment.
  • 72 hours prior to your appointment, DO NOT TAKE BLOOD THINNERS such as Advil, Ibuprofen, Aspirin, Niacin, Fish Oil or Vitamin E (unless medically necessary).
  • 24 hours prior to your appointment, DO NOT DRINK ALCOHOL or CAFFEINE.
  • Botox should be done 2 weeks before or 4 weeks after the procedure.
  • No waxing or tinting 3 days before and up to 4 weeks after or completely healed.
  • Arrive with no makeup for your appointment.

  • Be prepared for your skin to look a red and your permanent makeup to be DARK! – Don’t worry, the color will fade 30-50%. Lips tend to be extremely dark after treatment and will heal much lighter. Liner tends to be the truest to healed color immediately after treatment.
Contraindiactions for PMU are:
  • Pregnant/Breastfeeding
  • History of Keloids/Hypertrophic Scarring
  • Diabetic (Require Doctor’s Clearance)
  • Chemotherapy (Doctor’s Clearance if Within 6 Months)
  • Viral Infections and/or Diseases
  • Epilepsy
  • Pacemaker/Major Heart Problems
  • Organ Transplant
  • Skin Irritations/Psoriasis on/around Area (Rashes, Sunburn, Acne, etc.)
  • Sick (Cold, Flu, etc.)
  • Accutane (Within 12 Months)
  • Heart conditions, Uncontrolled High Blood Pressure, Poor Health.
  • Any treatment, medication, or illness that compromises the immune system / healing. This would compromise your results and you WOULD NOT be a good candidate for PMU.
